words of discouragement

Today, partway through my run, Emily turned around and said, "Run, Mom! Run!"
I responded, as sweetly as I could, "But I am running, darling girl."
So she paused and thought for a minute and then started yelling "Run fast, Mom! Run fast!"

Seriously, Emily? This is why I don't like bringing you along...
that, and you're heavy.

I think are doing pretty good if you are pushing them and still running more than 4 miles-that is awesome!

Despair.com is one of my favorite places to find the truth. ;} Good for you getting out in that nice 70 degree Texas weather. You deserve it after the summer you had. Keep on running FAST.

I think it's great that you're running at all. I haven't made it out to jog for months. I think it's hard to have a big ego and kids at the same time.
Heaven knows that River said plenty of things to take me down a peg. Particularly when I mentioned that I would be turning 30 in a few years, to which she responded, "oh, and then you will die?"

LOL. I love that despair site. I used to have their stuff posted around my room as a teenager.

LOL. Yeah, my 2y.o. isn't as good at motivating me as my 7 month old...He sits there and cheers me on. I love it. AAAAND...I don't run 4 miles. But we'll pretend, k?
