A Typical Day at the Coopers'

Here at the Coopers' apartment, we wake up happy and ready for the day.
Sometimes we're so happy we have to sing a song of celebration together.
After such exuberance, we often find ourselves in need of some more sleep.
And such is life at our lovely home in Austin, Texas.

Now it's time to play our game

Emily has three cute cousins: Keanan, Derek, and Tyler. It's amazing to see how different they all are. Emily is darker than Amanda. Keanan's a quarter Japanese as well, but red-haired and fair-skinned. Then, of course, there's the dynamic blond duo of Derek and Tyler. So cute and such different personalities. Contortionist

Emily is such a great baby. No matter how we toss her into bed, she'll still sleep peacefully. In reality, no matter how carefully we put her to bed, she seems to find a way to make it look uncomfortable. I think she wants to sleep on her tummy. She can get pretty close to rolling over by herself. She enjoys playing and interacting with others. She'll hold her toys, chatter, smile, and wiggle. She's so much fun.

A Bouquet for Breakfast

Today Joseph tried to convince me that he was up and about at 5 am because he wasn't sleepy and "had some work to do." Naturally, I was suspicious but too sleepy to follow. An hour and a half later, I woke up to this beautiful bouquet of flowers. What a fantastic husband I have! It was a fun and delicious start to my 22nd birthday.

Little Emily is just too much fun to keep her to ourselves. We decided to share her with the rest of the world. Important updates like learning to eat or raise her head will be chronicled here. Other family news like daddy's PhD progress will also pop up here.
