Inquisitive minds and busy hands

Back when Emily was little, we worked on learning the letters with her. She thought the letters were pretty exciting.
Then we introduced her to words. She likes the idea, but does not see any reason why we should prefer one specific word over another. She picks a word and assigns it a meaning. We know what she means and she knows that we know. She wonders why we still insist on asking her to say "please" when "g'lah" works just as well.

We haven't been able to find a good place to put a TV. So we don't watch TV. Emily watches movies on the computer instead. Actually, she mostly only watches High School Musical. She loves the dance scenes and has most of the moves down.
Amanda has made our apartment into a wonderful home. She decorated it beautifully for autumn and she has been working on a really neat costume for Emily. We're excited for trunk-or-treating. Somehow, the dishes stay done. The clothes stay clean. Emily stays healthy. And the Spirit seems to feel welcome in our home. She's amazing, and as you can see, always becoming more beautiful than ever.

We are eagerly looking forward to the pictures of the little costumed crusader.
