Creepy

I do some research with understanding how the brain interacts with muscles to make them control the body as desired. I've been working with a simulated humanoid for quite a while, but it had boxes for hands. I decided to create a simulated hand to work with dexterous finger motions. I didn't attach it to the ragdoll, but rather just had it appear at the origin of my simulated world (which happens to be between the feet of my humanoid). Weird things happened.

This seems to be a matter of numerical instability resulting from the drastic difference in scale and mass between the full body and the small hand. Whatever the cause though, I was wearing the virtual reality helmet and inspecting the hand when this happened and it seemed, for all intents and purposes, like the hand was going for my throat and then trying to get away.
