Saturday

This weekend was fun. It started out a little rough - here is a picture of our living room at 8:05 am. How do those kids work so quickly?
Caleb made me laugh with his hotdog cigar.

Later that day we went to the Settlement Home Annual Charity Garage Sale. I have to say, I never shopped in thrift shops or bought second hand before I married Joseph. He has gotten me into it and now I get excited when we find good deals too. Our best find was a pair of almost new Rockports for Joseph, at only $4! (normally over $100 new). We also got some shoes for Emily, a Little People bus, a Barbie doll, and some sunglasses for Emily for 25 cents. The Barbie is now the central figure in Emily's hoard. She has also been sleeping with it. I love that it came in pajamas instead of a skimpy dress.

Last week I also finally finished the blanket I have been knitting for Caleb. Learning to knit was one of my new year's resolutions, so I'm excited I was able to do this. We call it "baby's first prayer shawl."
I did not mean for it to look like a prayer shawl, I was just trying to not use baby blue. Oh well. I'm just glad it's done so I can start a new project.
