Well, the day finally came. Actually, it came way back in December but I couldn't go because Elinor got sick and I didn't want to be away from her for such an extended period of time. The day I speak of is the day that I was sworn in as a US citizen! It was sort of a hassle, actually. I had to be there by 11:50 for a ceremony that didn't start until 2 pm. And it was in San Antonio, an hour and a half from where we live. And once we were all there and seated, the guy running everything told us that we were ahead of schedule so we were dismissed for about an hour until they were ready to begin. And then the ceremony itself took about 45 minutes even though the actual swearing in only took 30 seconds. But it's cool. I'm glad it's taken care of and I'm glad that I won't be deported in 2013 when my Permanent Resident card expires. I did sort of make fun of the ceremony and its cheesiness, but I really am glad to be a citizen. I am grateful to be able to raise my kids in a land of so much freedom and opportunity.Joseph and the kids hung out at the San Antonio Coopers' house while I was doing all that. I had pumped some milk for Miss Elinor to enjoy while I was absent, but she didn't seem so into the whole bottle thing. When I got back I offered the bottle to her again, but she turned her nose up at it. Caleb and Emily were very interested though. Caleb took a sip and wanted more. Emily took a sip and that was enough for her, so Caleb drank most of the rest of it. I wasn't sure if that was okay, but he really wanted it. My little boy will always be my baby!

Congrats. And the milk story had me laughing. I'm still too chicken to see what my own milk tastes like. I asked Joshua if he wanted to try some of my pumped milk once and he was very objected to the idea!
