During the process of the move, Emily's crib was disassembled and the laundry baskets were full; so we had to get a playpen for Emily. It works great when we need to keep our little crawler confined to one spot. It won't be long, though, before she's strong enough to lift it off her legs. Then I don't know what we'll do.

Here we see a rare glimpse into the lair of the plastivorous Emily Rex. It looks like she's about to emerge to feast on some plastic shoes or possibly a plastic teething ring that was foolish enough to venture close to her cave.

These interlocking foam squares are great for baby and for daddy---like a giant Lego set. Our new apartment doesn't have any carpet. These foam pads are much kinder than tiles to young and old knees alike. Granted, Emily doesn't really care about that, but it sets mommy's mind at ease.

I wonder if Emily likes sleeping better "in" her own crib on in the plastic box.
