With Amanda working nights now, she needs sleep when she gets back home. That means that Daddy needs to step up and fill a few more responsibilities to keep things running smoothly. Sometimes I do better than others. Emily and I washed the laundry while Amanda slept today and then she helped me fold the clothes. She eventually lost interest in the onesie she was trying to eat and wanted to play with the glowing ducks my mum sent for her half-birthday. Those things are awesome.

I like the duck, but it's even greater that she's in the laundry basket. I have a great picture of Derek when he was about 1 month old, lying in a basket of warm laundry on top of the dryer in our old apartment watching me fix my hair.
Yeah... we haven't been able to get a pack'n'play or anything for her yet. The laundry basket seemed pretty close to a playpen. Amanda said we can put it over her once she starts crawling and she can go all over the house like a big turtle without grabbing anything she shouldn't.
