The ward trunk or treat was last Saturday and the kids had a great time. We spent most of the time inside with dinner and games, and then dashed outside for a quick trunk-or-treat session before heading back inside to clean up and go home. Things sure are different here in Colorado! Emily was able to dress as a ballerina in Austin and stay outside comfortably as late as we wanted to.
We carved a pumpkin sometime between the trunk-or-treat day and Halloween. It was a family project.
Jacob likes to keep himself involved in whatever is going on.
Pearl Street has a "Munchkin Masquerade" during the day on Halloween, so we decided to check it out.
It was so much fun! I loved that it began at 3pm, so we could trick-or-treat in the daylight and in the warmth of the sun.

Aren't they so cute? I love this picture. I especially love Joseph's tail poking out of his coat.

These sisters. I love seeing them spending time together.

And the goldfish. Isn't he a cutie? He was a turtle earlier, but big sis stole that costume.

It was so much fun going from store to store collecting candy... and yogurt and (gluten free) cookies and the occasional flyer from the psychic institute advertising free aura and chakra healings.

Aww. Baby Caleb.
With two rounds of trick-or-treating under our belt we decided to skip the actual Halloween evening trick-or-treating. Plus it got super cold and windy around 6pm, so we were happy to sit that one out. And the kids' baskets were already overflowing.
All in all, it was a fabulous Halloween. Just a little chilly.
