I was going through some old pictures on my phone today and found some pretty great ones. Great in content -- not quality. My phone is old but awesome and I refuse to upgrade until it dies completely! Anyway, here we go. In chronological order, shall we?
First up, here's a picture that I feel is a perfect representation of that period of exhaustion that accompanies the first six weeks of a new baby's life:
| Haha. Baby Caleb in his blackberry outfit. What a munchkin. |
| The Flatirons. I miss them. Boulder is beautiful. |
| Emi's gory hand. She fell at the beginning of a hike and I had no sympathy for her, poor girl. I just made her keep on truckin'! |
| Jake on the beach during our first scouting trip to CA. I love this picture of him. |
| Jacob the percussion man. And loving it! He's definitely Joseph's son. |
| El made the most of Halloween. Here she is walking with Caleb on the way to the kindergarten parade, during which she stuck right by his side. |
| And here she is marching alongside Emily in the 2nd grade parade. |
| A big ol' tree fallen across my running path after a particularly windy and rainy week. |
| Jake the big drinker. |
| And this is a horrible picture, but a crazy story! So, I was out running super early in a park one day and every time I ran this part of the trail (which was a lot - I was doing hill repeats), I heard a big ruckus and a bunch of "gobble-gobble-gobble!"'s. I never knew turkeys really made that noise until I heard it! And then, during my last pass, I happened to look up and saw seven HUGE turkeys roosting in this tree above me! Really. They were enormous. The picture doesn't really show it, but they were big birds. It would be terrifying to have one of these guys fall on me! And also, do turkeys fly? How on earth did they get up there?? |
Oh, and also this Pikachu.
| I literally put in 30 hours cross-stitching this guy for my sister's Christmas present. She and Pikachu go way back so I thought it would be a meaningful gift. :) |
