So, here is Emily on the airplane, watching our descent into Salt Lake. Yes, I probably wasn't supposed to have my phone on at this point, but I couldn't really help it.Our first day in Utah we hit Savers to buy some quick warm clothes for the kids that they'll probably grow out of before they need them here in Austin. This shirt was my favorite. It wasn't really warm but we still bought it.
It says "compared to my mum I am quite small" on the bottom. Joseph allowed me to buy it but swore he would never be the one to dress Emily in it.Later that day we had lunch at Cafe Rio (can't visit Utah without that, right?) and pretty much took the rest of the day off. We were still recovering from airplane travel with two young 'uns.
Here's an interesting little story though. When Caleb was a baby I was a little concerned about his eyes because his left pupil was always bigger than the right. It still constricted and dilated normally, just differently from the other eye. The doctor told me to watch it but didn't really have any advice. Here's a picture of him when he was about 2-1/2 months old. It's become a lot less noticeable since then.
Then, on our first or second day back in Utah, I was talking to my dad and noticed that he had the exact same thing! His left pupil was more dilated than his right! But it wasn't that noticeable and he's gone through his whole life like this and I'm pretty sure he's not brain damaged. But anyway, good to know it's genetic and that Caleb has a normally functioning brain, right?
