Phew! All the blogging last month really tired us out so we've kind of been on a blog break lately. Today was a fun day and busy day. We drove to San Antonio in the morning for Suzie's baby shower and then hurried back to catch a neighborhood potluck. The potluck was fun, but we were all FREEZING!! It was like 60 degrees and everyone was super bundled up. Is Texas turning us into weather wimps?
Emily woke up this morning with probably the messiest hair she's ever had in her life. I've never had to brush it before, but I did today and there were some serious snarls in there! My little girl is growing up! Good thing we're getting another baby to replace the one that is changing into a kid. But honestly, I've been wondering, will he be able to measure up? Could any other kid be as fantastic as she's been?

She's getting long hair!
I'm sure that raising a boy will be as rewarding as raising Emily, but you may wonder if you are starting all over from scratch.
And that isn't just the difference between boys and girls ... even starting with two boys, we found that most of our credits didn't transfer.
I completely understand the 60 degree FREEZING weather. You are not a wimp. But it's crazy how our bodies adjust to different climates. I can remember it snowing outside and only wearing a light jacket when I was back home...now I put on a sweater, coat, scarf, etc. if there's snow outside.
Nope. It's not possible. There's only one little Emily.
However, you'll be amazed how much your heart can fall in love all over again with a new addition. And he'll be wonderful and awesome in his own way.
I was over by your old apartments last week with the missionaries. We tried to meet up with someone in what I think was the apartment next to yours. They were at 1106 or something like that. Was that near you? I'm still missing you three!
ah, the joys of long hair and baby boys.
I miss you guys, and Emily is so cute! I like the little angel picture of her.
Sometimes the second one is better.
