Part of Caleb's math program is a series called Life of Fred. It's pretty silly and one of the questions the other day was, "What is the first thing you think of when you hear 'ice cream'?"
Caleb answered, "Yay!"
Fred's answer was, "Where?"
So I decided to ask Elinor the question, just to gain some insight into the way her brain works.
Elinor's answer was, "Hotdog!"
The workings of her mind may remain a mystery to me forever.

Did you buy those books? We are using them too. A friend of mine is using just those to teach math. I wouldn't to that for older kids, but they are a fun break from normal textbook math.
