You don't have to push a handcart or leave your family dear, but it might be fun to make your own butter.
For singing time, we brought a bunch of baby-food jars, some cream, and some rolls. While singing pioneer songs, the kids shook the jars of cream. We dumped the butter into this country crock container.
We ended up with a lot more than I expected. It was fun, and the kids sang well. Then we all had rolls with butter. The idea came from sugardoodle. It was a lot better than my idea of doing stick pulls and lighting fires with cow chips.

I'm so impressed with the activities you choose. (I know, I know you got it online.) But the ones you choose are great because they're interesting to all the ages in primary -- not an easy thing -- and they're interesting to boys and girls. Primary tends to be girly and I think it's important to think of the boys. They're going to cry their eyes out when you leave.
All I can do is echo Jessie. I think you are a wonderful song leader. :)
Sounds so fun! I still remember making butter in kindergarten!
